Award-winning independent activist

Micah's innovative activist campaigns have been featured in the AP, the Chronicle for Higher Education, the New York Times and Teen People magazine. As a high school student, he received awards for his work on behalf of Church/State Separation and religious liberty. Later, at Swarthmore College, Micah co-founded Why War? one of the nation's first student antiwar organizations after 9/11. Why War? attracted national attention after it launched a successful electronic civil disobedience campaign against Diebold Election Systems.

Micah's most recent campaign took on Bates Troy Healthcare Linens, a major noise and air polluter in the Binghamton, NY area. Learn more at Bates Troy Noisy Neighbor.

He is currently writing a book about the future of activism.
